Ingredients Are Everything

Our Candles
A non-toxic candle is crafted with ingredients that burn cleanly, minimizing indoor air pollution and avoiding harmful chemicals. Understanding its anatomy helps you choose safer, healthier options for your home. 

  1. The Wax

The wax is the foundation of any candle. One of the few non-toxic options is soy wax which is derived from soybeans, renewable and biodegradable.

Avoid paraffin wax, which is petroleum-based and can release soot and toxins when burned.

     2. The Wick 

The wick controls how the candle burns. Our wicks are made from cotton which are free from metal cores and chemical stiffeners. They are also unbleached and lead-free which ensures no heavy metals or synthetic coatings are released into the air.

      3. Fragrance

Fragrance is where many candles become toxic. Safer alternatives include: essential oils naturally derived from plants, offering authentic scents and phthalate-free fragrance oils which are formulated without harmful additives. Our candles are made with phthalate-free fragrance oils blended with essential oils.

       4. Colorants 
If color is added, it should come from natural dyes derived from plants, minerals, or clays. Or mica powders (which is what we use in our body care) which is non-toxic and biodegradable. Avoid synthetic dyes that can release volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

       5. The Container

Our vessels are:

  • Heat-Resistant Glass, Ceramic, or Metal: Safe for repeated use.
  • Free from Paints or Coatings: Prevents chemical leaching when heated.
      6. The Burn Quality

A non-toxic candle should burn evenly, with minimal soot and smoke. Proper wick trimming and ventilation enhance air quality and extend burn time.

In essence, a non-toxic candle is made from clean-burning wax, natural or safe fragrance, and eco-friendly materials—designed to bring warmth and scent without compromising your health or the environment.

Our Body Care
All of our body care are small batch made by us and tested on ourselves.  We obtain our raw materials from ethical sources. 

Our body care is made in a hygienic environment and is pH balanced. Our soaps are made using bases sourced from the United Kingdom, UK ingredient standards are stricter than in the United States. 

Any additives such as essential oils, oils, butters are the purest available.  Our containers are PET grade, PET is inert and doesn't release contaminants into the environment.
